يصادف اليوم الخميس 20 آذار 2025 عيد ميلاد صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير الحسن بن طلال المعظم الثامن والسبعون.

أنباء الوطن -

لقد بقي سموه، منذ عقود طويلة، وفي العام الماضي على وجه الخصوص، داعماً قوياً وثابتاً لمسيرة متوازنة نحو التقدم، متّبعاً نهجاً يجمع بين بناء السلام، والتنمية المستدامة، والحفاظ على البيئة.

وعلى الصعيد الإقليمي واظب سموه على دعم التكامل بين المشرق وشبه الجزيرة العربية، فقاد مبادرات لتعزيز التعاون والمرونة والازدهار المشترك، وكان من بين جهوده: الدعوة إلى إنشاء مجلس اقتصادي واجتماعي (ECOSOC) لتعزيز التنمية الشاملة والمنصِفة، وتأسيس مجتمع المياه والطاقة لضمان الإدارة المستدامة والعادلة للموارد الحيوية، ومجلس مواطني بلاد الشام لتمكين المجتمع المدني من رسم مستقبل المنطقة.

في قلب رؤيا سموه تقع مسؤولية الحماية والاحترام على عاتق جميع المجتمعات والجماعات والأمم. ويؤمن سموه، إيمانًا راسخًا، بأهمية التعاون الإقليمي، وبناء التنمية المستدامة التي تتمحور حول كرامة الإنسان، والتي يرى سموه بأنها تتحقق من خلال تغليب الاحترام في مواجهة استقطاب الكراهية، وتمكين الأشخاص ليكونوا مشاركين فاعلين في مجتمعاتهم. وسيستمر سموّه في التشجيع على المشاركة في صنع مستقبل المنطقة، معززًا الإيمان بأن لكل فرد دور حيوي في المسيرة الجماعية نحو السلام والازدهار.

Today March 20, 2025 marks the 78th birthday of His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal. For decades, and over the past year in particular, His Royal Highness has remained a steadfast champion of a balanced approach to progress—one that seamlessly integrates peace building, sustainable development, and environmental stewardship.

Within the regional context, His Royal Highness has been a tireless advocate for deeper integration between the Levant and the Arabian Peninsula. To that aim he has spearheaded initiatives that foster cooperation, resilience, and shared prosperity. His efforts include advocating for the establishment of an Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) to advance inclusive and equitable development, a Water and Energy Community to ensure the sustainable and just management of vital resources, and a Levant Citizens’ Assembly to empower civil society in shaping the region’s future.

At the heart of His Royal Highness’s vision is that it is a fundamental responsibility for all societies, communities and nations, to protect and respect. Prince Hassan has an unwavering belief in regional cooperation and the creation of sustainable development with a focus on human dignity. He believes that this can be achieved by promoting the polarity of respect over the polarity of hatred. Through empowering citizens to transition from mere followers to active stakeholders in their communities, His Royal Highness would encourage a shared ownership of the region’s future, reinforcing the belief that every individual has a vital role in the collective journey towards peace and prosperity.

Prince Hassan will celebrate his birthday quietly at home with his family.
