Orange Jordan and the Ministry of Environment Organize Volunteer Cleanup Activity on World Cleanup Day at Wasfi Al Tal Forest
On the occasion of World Cleanup Day, Orange Jordan, in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, organized a volunteer cleanup activity at Wasfi Al Tal Forest in Al Balqa Governorate, with the participation of several of its employees. The initiative aimed to raise environmental awareness, promote a culture of preserving the cleanliness of public spaces, and protect natural resources, as part of the executive program of the national cleanliness and anti-littering strategy, along with joint efforts to strengthen environmental and social responsibility and encourage sustainable practices.
The activity took place as part of the “Engage for Change” program, which enables Orange Group employees across the Middle East and Africa to participate in volunteer and community initiatives that create a positive impact. More than 20 Orange Jordan employees took part in cleaning the forest and contributing to preserving its cleanliness and natural beauty, highlighting the importance of collective action in protecting the environment and promoting responsible behaviors.
As the true responsible digital leader, Orange Jordan reaffirmed its continued commitment to solidify its responsible practices and enhance its contribution to achieving a positive impact through practical initiatives that serve the community and preserve the environment. This reflects the company’s approach to deliver on promises while turning its values and responsibilities into tangible practices that make a meaningful and sustainable difference.
For its part, the Ministry of Environment emphasized the importance of public-private sector partnerships in supporting national efforts to protect the environment and raise community awareness of environmental issues. The Ministry noted that the participation of organizations and their employees in volunteer initiatives contributes to promoting positive behaviors, maintaining the cleanliness of public spaces, and strengthening a sense of shared responsibility towards the environment and natural resources.
This initiative is an extension of Orange Jordan’s efforts to support sustainable practices and engage its employees in volunteer activities. It also continues to advance the company’s environmental goals in line with the Orange Group’s commitments and “Trust the Future” strategy, including achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2040. These efforts also include the ongoing adoption of solutions and initiatives that contribute to reducing the company’s environmental footprint and supporting the transition towards a more sustainable future.
